Why donate to GomiWorld?

The cost of maintaining the site on my own server space is becoming prohibitive. In light of my recent life changes, I'm going to have to cut down on costs. This means the first things neither I nor Curren absolutely need will have to go. I really don't NEED a site hosted on it's own space. However, I enjoy having the space to post my thoughts, and link to the thoughts of others, without all the ads, pop-ups and other distractions.

Also, LuftHaus Designs, KhatWok and Wall'd City are hosted on this same server space. Your donation will allow me to keep or even improve all of these sites.

Why do I see 2 donation buttons?

One is PayPal, the other is Amazon. Either one will allow you to donate to my site.

What's with the counter, and the rather large financial goal?

I was inspired by Tiffany Brown to post my financial goals and to allow others to see how I'm progressing.

Hey! I thought you needed $15K?? What's with the reduced goal?

Seems people were intimidaed by the amount, not understanding that $15K was my overall goal. A combination of Art Sales, Savings, Donations and a second job. So I've reduced the goal to 1/3rd it's size, as 2/3rds should obviously come from my own hard work.

So, again, why should I care in helping you?

Because it's not like I'm sitting on my ass collecting a government check. Much of that money is going to end up coming out of my pocket anyway. And you'll get a warm fuzzy, knowing you're helping a total stranger!
